Mistral is now our European AI provider
We have implemented Mistral as the managed LLM behind the next wave of remoteroom.io assistance. The goal is deliberately practical: less production admin, fewer repetitive setup questions, and more useful information left in the room when the work is done.
The provider is live; the feature set is rolling out
Delivery interpretation and meeting summaries are the first workflows connected to our Mistral provider layer. They use the managed EU profile and structured responses so the application receives predictable production data instead of free-form guesses.
We are building the rest of the feature set around the same boundary. If the EU processing profile is unavailable, remoteroom.io does not silently fall back to a provider or region the customer did not choose.
Meet Roomy
Roomy is a little helper inside remoteroom.io, currently in progress. It can look at the room the signed-in user is allowed to manage, answer questions about the project or product, and prepare a useful next action. Roomy is not meant to become another chat tab that demands attention. It opens on request, keeps the person in control, and shows write actions before they run.

Create safer share links
Prepare Share Links from a plain-language request, then show the exact scope and permissions before anyone sends it.
Answer questions and create tickets
Handle first-line product, technical, and support questions, then turn a real bug or feature request into a structured ticket the team can act on.
Turn meetings into project memory
Transcribe meetings, summarize decisions, identify owners and next steps, and write a useful note back into the room.
Help Delivery finish the handoff
Interpret technical delivery instructions, match approved media to the requested package, and prepare an automatic delivery without hiding the final approval.
Build subtitles and language tracks
Move from audio to transcript, subtitles, summaries, and translated tracks without sending the team to a separate AI workspace.
One switch means off
Every managed AI feature can be disabled with one account-level switch. When it is off, Roomy, summaries, transcription, subtitle assistance, support automation, and Delivery assistance stop sending new work to the managed AI provider. Teams can keep using the rest of remoteroom.io normally.
Built for the EU path
The managed features announced here use Mistral’s EU-hosted processing profile, not its US API endpoint. Mistral states that customer data is hosted in the European Union by default and publishes its processor terms, data controls, subprocessor process, and security certifications.
Provider disclosures can change, so our compliance page names Mistral directly and explains what the managed AI path processes. We will keep that page current as the roadmap moves into production.
Enterprise can bring the stack
Enterprise customers on our Business plan will be able to bring their own LLM when policy, procurement, or an internal model demands it. They can also bring their own S3-compatible storage. That makes the managed Mistral and storage path a convenient default, not a lock-in requirement.
